Because celebration time goes with good food, here are some gift ideas for the cook around you.

For a few years now, in my family, we are sharing the cooking of the different plates for Christmas Eve. It helps to split all the work, but it also brings a different touch and taste to the traditional December 24th dinner. With great happiness and others happiness as well (especially my husband and brother) each year I'm preparing a new desert. There's always special requests, such as sucre à la crème, which I always keep in a special recipe box.

A little while ago my husband gave me "THE" Kitchen Aid electric mixer, which I had been dreaming about for a long time! I gave the box a huge hug when I realized what it was while opening the gift (yes I do have pictures of this moment). While searching for the best deco-gift ideas for cooking lovers, it was definitely the first item to make it! For those who know me, you already know how much I love books. I have a passion for them, I'm the kind of person who prefers to by them than to borrow them, because my dream is to have a vast library like in Beauty and the Beast. Anyhow, all this to say that while some are buying shoes, I'm buying cooking books! Here are two of my favorites for this year: Trois fois par jour volume 2 and the last one from Donna Hay which I love with all my heart. To make sure my kitchen is totally functional I'm still missing one accessory: the cooking book stand! But I have hope, it is on my wish list this year!

There's nothing like a beautiful cutting board or bread bag to create a beautiful table. I really like the bags from the small boutique Dans le sac, which offers eco product to help reduce waste with style.
