Are you team natural tree or artficial?

When I was young, I remember when my father arrived home early December with a natural tree. This smell that emanated in the house when we were decorating was all that we needed to be in the Christmas mood! Now that I'm a mother, I continue this tradition. In the evening, the girls go with their father to choose a tree. The next day, while a Christmas movie plays on tv, we decorate the tree. My favorite movie: National Lampoons Christmas vacations!

I love Christmas decor that brings comfort, warm and glam. For the past few years, my decor has been in black and gold with a touch of cream. This year I added a few ornaments to my tree which I fell in love with at Canadian Tire and Crate & Barrel, as well as the beautiful hammered metal tree base to hide the bottom of my tree.

Il will be a special Christmas this year for my family with the coming of Hiro, our baby dog! And to my great misfortune, he really loves our natural tree and its ornaments. Thank goodness he's so cute, his mess is quickly forgotten! Are you doing Christmas stocking for your kids? At our house, it is the elf who fills it full of surprises the night of December 23rd to 24th to thank the girls for taking good care of him during the month of December. As Hiro is part of the family too and takes good care of the elf also, I will also get him a Christmas stocking near the fireplace! Other tradition not to be forgotten: milk and cookies for Santa! This year it is beautiful golden mugs that will be waiting for him along his favorite: chocolat chips cookies.
